United Nations: 57 dead, including 7 children, in attacks in the Democratic Republic of the Congo


The United Nations said today, Friday, that attacks carried out by the "Allied Democratic Forces" in the northeastern Democratic Republic of the Congo on May 31, which left 57 people dead, including 7 children, expressing its dissatisfaction with the violence against villages and camps for the displaced, according to "Bloomberg East".


"Several others were injured, 25 were kidnapped, while 70 homes and shops were burned," said UNHCR spokesperson Babar Baloch, during a briefing in Geneva, and attributed the attacks to the "Allied Democratic Forces".


The attacks were carried out near the towns of Boga and Chabe in Ituri province.
