Harvard University poll: Biden made progress during his summit with Putin


A new opinion poll conducted by the Center for Political Studies at Harvard University, in partnership with the "Harris Polling Institute" in the American city of Chicago, revealed that US President Joe Biden made progress during his summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin this month in Geneva.


According to the monthly poll, 21% of those who registered to participate in this questionnaire stated that Biden had made significant progress in the summit meeting he held with Putin in Geneva, while 31% said that Biden had made some progress, while 32% believed that Biden had not made. Progress, while 15% did not decide their opinion.


Seventy-two percent of the respondents described Moscow as an "adversary" of Washington, while 59 percent said that Biden should take a hard line on Russia when it comes to issues such as cyber attacks or any other issues that threaten American interests.


For his part, Mark Penn, one of the organizers of the poll, said: “It may be premature to assess President Biden’s foreign policy, but the summit with Russian President Putin did not help the American president or harm him much. core issues."


It should be noted that Presidents Biden and Putin had described their recent meeting in Geneva as cordial and professional, and President Biden stated that the discussions between them helped identify areas of mutual interest and that he informed Putin that the United States would respond to any attempt to undermine its interests or those of its allies.
