Algeria hosts Mali in an exciting friendly match today

The Algerian national team will host its Mali counterpart at 10:15 pm today, Sunday, at Mustafa Shaker Stadium, in a friendly match as part of the two teams’ preparations for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

The World Cup qualifiers drew the desert warriors at the top of the first group, in which Burkina Faso, Niger and Djibouti are present, and Mahrez's colleagues warn of African football, which has developed strongly in the past period, and has become full of surprises.

Before the Mali match, the Algerian national team played a friendly match this June against its Mauritanian neighbor, which ended with the victory of the Desert Warriors by four goals to one.

Mali will compete in Group E in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, which also includes Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda.

The start of the match will be blown at 8:45 pm, Algeria time, 9:45 Egyptian time, and the friendly matches of the Algerian team will be broadcast on the Algerian terrestrial channel, and the match between Algeria and Mali will be broadcast on it.

Djamel Belmadi played in the Mauritania match with a semi-reserve formation for the Algerian national team, and it is expected that he will give the opportunity in the Mali match to some of the names that it did not take in the Mauritania match, where the national coach will start the friendly confrontation with a formation consisting of:

 Belmadi also stressed the existence of fierce competition between the players, especially at the level of attack, acknowledging the great levels presented by Amir Saoud, the star of Shabab Belouizdad, and Bilal Massoudi, the player of JS Al-Saoura, the top scorer in the Algerian league, but he indicated that the reason for their absence with the team is the strong competition that It was the reason for the exclusion of another player, Yassin Brahimi, the star of the Qatari Al Rayyan club.

 The International Football Association (FIFA) decided to postpone the start of the qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, next September, instead of this June.
