An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale hit the area near the Indonesian Moluccas, while there were no reports of casualties or material losses.
The Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency - according to the European "Euronews" network today, Wednesday, that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers, and is not expected to cause a tsunami.
It is noteworthy that the Moluccas group, known as Maluku or Moluccas, is an archipelago located in the Banda Sea in Indonesia, and consists of two provinces: North Maluku and Maluku Province.
