Ahmed El Shennawy, the Pyramids goalkeeper, celebrates today, Friday, his 30th birthday, when “Octopus” was born as called by the fans on May 14, 1991 in Port Said Governorate. El-Shennawy was raised among the Egyptian club's youth with a decree from his father Nasser El Shennawy, the late Port Said goalkeeper. A team under 10 years old to join the junior sector teams and was participating in guarding the goalkeepers of all major teams in important meetings and at the age of less than 15 years, and was promoted to the first team in 2009
Ahmed El-Shennawy caught the attention of Zamalek club, and moved to the White Castle in the 2012 winter transfer season on loan for one season from Al-Masry Club, then returned to his club after canceling the season, before returning to Zamalek in a deal that cost the White Treasury 6 million pounds in 2014.
But in 2017, after his brilliance with Zamalek, and he was chosen as the main goalkeeper for the Egyptian team in the African Nations Championship in Gabon, but he was injured in the opening match of the Pharaohs team against the Mali national team, to be excluded from the tournament.
The year 2018 is an unhappy year for the international goalkeeper, as he was partially cut off in the Crusader ligament, during the match of his former team Zamalek against Al-Ittihad in the General League championship season before last season, which Al-Abyad lost 2-1 and caused his absence from the Egyptian team in the World Cup Which was located in Russia, where he was excluded from the World Cup list.
El-Shennawy Guards Areen Castle Meet Oqba in 123 matches, during which he received 99 goals and came out with a clean sheet in 69 matches, and El-Shenawy achieved 4 championships with Zamalek, which are the League, the Local Super and the Egypt Cup twice.
Ahmed El Shennawy is currently playing with the Pyramids team, which he joined in a final sale from the White Castle.
