The average monthly spot price of natural gas registered in the Henry Center in the US market decreased during March 2021 to 2.62 dollars per million British thermal units, according to a report of the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries.
The report, issued this month, indicated an increase in the average prices of LNG imports in Japan during February 2021 by 0.82 dollars per million British thermal units, to reach 9.23 dollars per million British thermal units.
The report pointed out that the average price of importing liquefied natural gas in South Korea increased by 2.27 dollars per million British thermal units, to reach 10.21 dollars per million British thermal units, and the average prices of importing liquefied natural gas in China reached 8.39 dollars per million British thermal units.
The report stated that Arab countries' exports of LNG to Japan, South Korea and China amounted to about 4.582 million tons during February 2021, accounting for a share of 24.4% of the total.
