Lebanon: Recommendations to open cinemas and theaters and hold events with precautionary measures


The Lebanese authorities concerned with dealing with the Coronavirus have issued recommendations to allow the reopening of cinemas and theater and the holding of all collective social events according to a specified number of people, in addition to extending the working hours of restaurants, provided that the measures to prevent the epidemic are tightened within all sectors, institutions and tourist facilities. .

 

The recommendations of the Committee for the Follow-up of Preventive Measures and Procedures for Coronavirus of the Lebanese Presidency - in a statement after a meeting of its members - included requiring arrivals from Brazil to have a PCR test with a negative result (virus-free) 96 hours before the date of travel to Lebanon, provided that The expatriate undergoes another examination at Rafic Hariri International Airport in Beirut, and is committed to quarantine for a period ranging between 4 to 5 days in one of the hotels specified by the Ministry of Tourism, during which he will undergo another PCR examination and shall abide by it according to which he must quarantine the home if the result is positive.

 

The committee recommended that Lebanese and foreign diplomatic missions be excluded from the aforementioned procedure in relation to the hotel quarantine, provided that they adhere to the quarantine for a period of 5 days at their residence, in addition to an exception for those coming from Brazil to Lebanon and those who have received the second dose of the anti-virus vaccine for a period of two weeks according to an official document. The recommendations included allowing all events (weddings, conferences, exhibitions, etc.) to be held within open spaces, provided that the number of attendees does not exceed 100 persons and 50% of its capacity.

 

The recommendations stressed the need to control the tourism sectors under its authority, to ensure that they adhere to all obligations and preventive measures against the Coronavirus, and to take the necessary administrative measures against the violator, leading to closing it with red wax for a period of not less than 5 days.
