Borussia Dortmund has booked its seat in the Champions League competition next season, after its precious 3-1 victory over Mainz team, in the meeting that brought the two teams together Sunday evening, at the Opel Arena, in the 33 and penultimate round of the league competitions. Borussia Dortmund scored a hat-trick by Rafael Guerrero, Marco Reus and Julian Brandt, in the 23, 42 and 80 minutes of the match.
Robin Cayson scored Mainz's only goal in the first minute of stoppage time of the match, via a penalty kick.
Dortmund raised its score to point 61 in third place, to ensure its presence in the European Champions League next season, one round before the end of the competition, to keep the struggle for fourth place between Wolfsburg and Eintracht Frankfurt.
It is worth noting that Bayern Munich won the German League title this season for the ninth time in its history and the 31st in its history.
