Today, Sunday, the Supreme Judicial Council in Iraq announced the arrest of the director of Ibn Al-Khatib Hospital, which witnessed the explosion of oxygen bombs last night.
The Supreme Judicial Council in Iraq stated in a press statement, "The Rusafa Investigation Court has taken legal measures regarding the Ibn Al-Khatib Hospital fire, which killed dozens of martyrs yesterday."
He added, "The court decided to detain the hospital director until the investigation is completed and the negligent parties are identified."
The statement indicated that "the competent judge formed a working group with the Baghdad Crime Combating Directorate to find out the circumstances of the incident."
Today, Sunday, the Presidency of the Iraqi Council of Representatives assigned a parliamentary committee to investigate the facts about the Ibn Al-Khatib Hospital incident, which killed 82 people.
And the Iraqi Ministry of Health announced that Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi directed an urgent investigation with a number of health officials in Baghdad, against the backdrop of the Ibn Al-Khatib Hospital fire.
