The Ministry of Youth and Sports, in coordination with the Ministry of Health and the Egyptian Olympic Committee, started from the administrative and procedural arrangements related to the receipt of the Egyptian delegation participating in the Olympic Games in Tokyo, the vaccine to prevent the Corona virus. The Ministry of Health and Population began to vaccinate the various national teams with the vaccine; In preparation for the Olympic Games scheduled to start next July.
The players and players of the national teams receive the Corona vaccine at the Sports Medicine Hospital in Nasr City, after it has been equipped with all the needs for the vaccination process by the Ministry of Health, to be a permanent center for vaccinating all athletes in the future.
The vaccination process is supervised in coordination with officials of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Mohamed Sultan, head of the medical committee at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and Dr. Hassan Kamal, head of the medical committee at the Egyptian Olympic Committee.
The start today was with the teams of table tennis, rowing, triathlon, gymnastics, weapons, bicycles, badminton and karate, and vaccination operations included technical and administrative devices and players.
The rest of the teams will continue to receive vaccination, which is one of the most important measures taken by the Egyptian state to protect its athletes from the Corona virus.
It is worth mentioning that the Ministry has worked during the last period to develop and equip the Sports Medicine Hospital and provide it with all the necessary medical equipment.
