Local media quoted a Somali army statement describing briefly, the killing of more than 60 terrorists from Al-Shabaab, including foreign fighters, in an explosion in southern Somalia.
According to Russia Today, it was reported that this explosion occurred in a village 65 kilometers west of the city of Qaryouli in southern Somalia.
The Somali army stated that terrorists allied with Al-Qaeda were killed in an explosion caused by a bomb that was being assembled in a compound in the village of "Ala Foto", located in Lower Shabelle region.
The army statement stated that "the explosion occurred in the Al-Shabaab compound after the explosion of explosive materials prepared by the terrorists," noting that explosives experts from Al-Shabaab and foreign terrorists were among the dead.
