The price of gold in Egypt is related to the movement of the price of the yellow metal globally, and there are several reasons that push gold to rise in global stock exchanges, including the decline in the dollar price and the decline in the yield of US bonds, in addition to the continuing negative economic repercussions of the Corona virus on the global economy.
Global gold prices rose to their highest levels in nearly five months yesterday, supported by the decline in the dollar and growing inflationary pressures, while investors are waiting for more US data to elicit indications about the extent of global economic recovery.
And gold rose in spot transactions 0.1% to $ 1910.24 an ounce by 05:04 GMT yesterday.
US gold futures increased 0.4% to $1913, and the dollar index fell 0.2% against other major currencies, making gold less expensive for holders of other currencies, and the US currency recorded its second consecutive monthly loss.
And there was some decline in the global price of the yellow metal to levels of 1893 dollars, down due to the trend to take profits.
