A new earthquake of magnitude 5 strikes southwest China's Yunnan Province


An earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter scale hit Yingjiang County, southwest China's Yunnan Province, on Saturday.


The China Earthquake Networks Center said - according to the Chinese News Agency (Xinhua) - that a 5-magnitude earthquake rocked Yingjiang County at 6:00 p.m. (Beijing time), noting that the epicenter of the earthquake was determined at 24.96 degrees north latitude and 97.89 degrees east longitude. , at a depth of 16 km.


A 5.1-magnitude earthquake hit Yunnan Province on Friday, injuring two people and damaging 2,669 homes.
