A great Tunisian tribute to the strong relations with South Korea


The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad, Othman Al-Jarandi affirmed the distinguished level reached by the Tunisian-Korean relations, especially in recent years, and the Korean continuous support for the democratic transition in Tunisia and in the field of technical cooperation and the launch of development projects with high added value.

This came during the signing of Al-Jundi with the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Tunisia, Choo Ko Ria, a framework agreement regarding a soft loan of $ 60 million to finance the digitization of the real estate system in Tunisia.

A statement issued by the Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs today stated that Al-Jundi called - during the signing of the agreement - for further strengthening of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the fields, especially in development projects and infrastructure with added value, in addition to exploiting the potentials and opportunities available through tripartite cooperation with the countries of the African continent. .

The minister stressed the importance of increasing the number of scholarships for Tunisian students wishing to continue their studies in Korea, calling for intensifying the exchange of experiences and training programs, especially in the fields of scientific research and the priority sectors.

For his part, Ambassador Chou Ku Ria expressed his country's aspiration to continue to upgrade its relations with Tunisia in many areas, complete the completion of the programmed projects, and continue to support Tunisia in the field of combating the Corona virus, praising the initiatives of President Qais Saeed and the efforts of Tunisian diplomacy to find a peaceful settlement of the situation in Libya, and its constructive role In various international issues, as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.
