30 thousand euros insurance for every Egyptian abroad.. Know the details


The Financial Supervisory Authority, from the beginning of next July, provides insurance protection for Egyptians abroad against the risks of illness, death, theft and deportation, with a value of up to 30,000 euros at a time, provided that the travel period does not exceed 90 consecutive days, and the citizen benefits from this compulsory document by paying 300 EGP upon issuance of the passport, on which a hotline number for insurance companies will be affixed to disbursement of compensation to Egyptians abroad.


In this regard, Counselor Reda Abdel Moati, Vice-President of the Financial Supervisory Authority, said that the authority agreed to establish the first insurance group for Egyptians abroad, with the aim of providing insurance coverage for Egyptians abroad from the dangers of disease and in cases of theft and forcible deportation for any reason that requires his return, forcibly or voluntarily, likewise As is the case in many countries.

 

 

Abdel Moati added, to “The Seventh Day”, that the insurance coverage will be linked to the issuance of the passport, as the citizen pays 300 pounds during the issuance of the passport to provide insurance protection throughout travel abroad, provided that the travel does not exceed 90 consecutive days, and the compensation period reaches 30,000 euros. In the same time, an insurance pool was established and insurance companies specialized in this type participated in it, to pay compensation to every Egyptian.

 

He added that each "passport" passport will include a sticker with a hotline available to contact it from any country in the event the citizen is exposed for any reason, so that the insurance company will bear the payment of compensation, whether to bear the cost of treatment or deportation, or any reason that requires compensation under the insurance protection.

 

 

The insurance policy provides an insurance umbrella that provides immediate assistance to Egyptians traveling abroad in the event that any of them suffers any accidental accident or emergency disease that he may be exposed to during his travel trip outside the Arab Republic of Egypt. It also includes insurance coverage in addition to transportation costs or returning the insured to the country of residence in case Illness or an accident for the insured, the costs of returning the body to the country of residence in the event of the death of the insured.

 

 

The insurance coverages granted to more than 20 million Egyptians while traveling all over the world under this document will be valid on all trips that do not exceed a period of 90 consecutive days during the validity period of the passport, and the limits of insurance coverage reach 30 thousand euros or its equivalent in currencies. Others with a bearing of the first 100 Euros or its equivalent in other currencies from medical expenses and hospitalization costs.
