The French President: The Paris summit to finance the economies of Africa is an urgent matter to confront Corona


French President Emmanuel Macron confirmed that the Paris summit on financing African economies is an urgent summit to confront the Coronavirus pandemic, saying: "Africa has everything it needs for success, youth, productive strength and the ability to face challenges."



Macron said in a tweet through his official account on Twitter: "The Paris summit to finance African economies is an urgent summit to confront the Corona pandemic, it is also ambitious, because Africa has everything it needs for success, youth, productive strength and the ability to face challenges, we are moving to its side and support it."



The "Financing African Economies" summit was launched in the French capital, Paris, with the participation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, leaders and heads of governments of African countries, the Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund, Kristalina Georgieva, the President of the European Investment Bank, Werner Hoyer, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the European Bank. For Reconstruction and Development, and a number of officials of European countries, the Seven Great Industrial Group, the Group of Twenty, the World Trade Organization and the African Development Bank.


The "Financing African Economies" summit is important in light of the impact of global economies, including Africa, by the repercussions of the Coronavirus pandemic, which impeded African economies' access to liquidity, grants and international aid and access to global markets.
