The Karate Federation, headed by Mohamed Al-Dahrawi, announced the list of the team scheduled to participate in the Paris International Championship, which will be held from June 8 to 16 next, and the stage for the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
The list consists of 6 players divided into 3 players and 3 players, which includes Ahmed Ashraf Shawky (men's kata), Abdullah Mamdouh (- 75 kg), Muhammad Ahmad Ramadan (-84 kg), Sarah Asim (women's kata), Yasmine Hamdy ( 55 kg), Ferial Ashraf (-68 kg).
Egypt will host the North African Championship from 19 to 21 August next in Alexandria Governorate, in which the senior, youth and junior teams will participate.
And the participation of 6 countries in the tournament was confirmed, namely Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Mauritania and Morocco, in addition to hosting Egypt.
The duo, Gianna Farouk and Ali El Sawy, the national team player, qualified for the Tokyo Olympics, and the Federation’s Board of Directors is counting on the participants in the Paris tournament to increase the number of qualifiers for Tokyo.
