Fiorentina dampens Lazio's Champions League qualification hopes with a double


Fiorentina team weakened the hopes of its guest Lazio to qualify for the Champions League next season, after they beat them, with two goals free of charge, in the match that brought the two teams together on Saturday evening, at the "Artemio Franchi" stadium, in the matches of the 35th round of the Italian league for the current season 2020 2021.


Dusan Vlahovic scored two goals for Fiorentina in the 22nd and 89th minutes.


Vlahovic raised his score to 21 goals this season, to join the Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku and the top scorer, behind the leaders Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, the Juventus striker, who scored 27 goals.


Vlahovic became the fourth non-Italian player to score (+20) in his first season with Fiorentina, after Pedro Petroni (Uruguay) ⁃ Kurt Hamren (Sweden) ⁃ Gabriel Batstuta (Argentina).


Andreas Pereira, the Lazio player, was sent off in the last minute of the match for receiving two warnings.


With that result, Fiorentina's score rises to 38 points in thirteenth place, while Lazio's score stopped at 64 points in sixth place, and he has a postponed match against Turin.
