Finance: 500 companies uploaded electronic documents to the electronic invoice system
More than 6 million electronic bills have been sent to the system since its inception until now

Mohamed Maait, Minister of Finance, affirmed that Egypt, under its wise political leadership, is aggressively pursuing the implementation of the national project to modernize and automate the tax administration system. To facilitate the financiers and collect the state's right, in a way that enables the state to enhance spending on improving the citizens' standard of living and improving the quality of services provided to them, explaining that among the most important of these projects is the system of automated tax procedures and the electronic invoice system; Which would restrict the tax community more precisely, achieve tax justice, reduce tax evasion, and include the informal economy in the formal economy, in a manner that would help lay the foundations for a sophisticated tax system comparable to developed countries.
The Minister of Finance indicated that the total number of companies that submitted electronic documents to the actual operating environment from the first and second phases of the electronic invoice system amounted to nearly 500 companies, explaining that the number of electronic documents (invoices - credit notes - debtor notices) that have been processed. Through the system more than 6 million documents, confirming that the last date for all financiers registered in the Center for Large Funders to join the electronic invoice system is May 15th.
The Minister of Finance called on the companies registered in the status of major financiers and obligated to join the electronic invoice system, to quickly take the necessary measures to join the system before May 15th, pointing out that 10 companies have already been referred to the prosecution for lack of commitment to join the electronic invoice system in the second phase of it, and procedures are being taken to refer 5 companies Other, due to its lack of commitment to join the second phase of the system, pointing out that this is in contrast to the 5 companies that were previously referred to the prosecution because they are not committed to joining the first phase of the electronic invoice system.
Reda Abdel Qader, head of the Egyptian Tax Authority, indicated that the third stage companies that are required to apply the electronic invoice system to the final operating environment have been registered in preparation for issuing their actual invoices and sending them to the electronic invoice system as of May 15th, and the department calls on companies that have been registered on the actual operating environment of the system. The speed of raising the codes of goods and services that you deal with on the portal of the system (portal) during the current period and before the current May 15, in order to be able to use it in issuing invoices correctly.
