All you need to know about "Tanmia" network


The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, the training arm of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, launched the training network for the Institutes of Management in Africa (Tanmia) affiliated with the institute.

 

An initiative to create an African network of management and training institutes was launched during the first African Forum on Governance and Development in April 2019, and this initiative comes in conjunction with Egypt's presidency of the African Union and work to consolidate Egyptian-African relations to serve as a unique platform linking all African countries through institutes Training and management, coordination, exchange of experiences and interaction between them and the formation of effective partnerships, whether these institutes are governmental, non-governmental or private.

 

 What is the goal of the development network?

 It aims to exchange experiences in the field of training employees of the state’s administrative apparatus in the African continent and activate and spread the principles of governance at the Egyptian and African levels. This network will also have its role in achieving sustainable development strategies, Egypt’s Vision 2030, and the African Agenda 2063: The Africa we want.

 

 What are the areas of the network?

  Represented in the training of government agencies, governance, sustainable development, and the training, career development, consulting and publishing activities of a development network are in line with the sustainable development goals, the African Agenda 2063, the Constitution of the Arab Republic of Egypt 2014, Egypt's Vision 2030 for Sustainable Development and its fourth pillar, effective and productive public institutions, the service law Civilian No. 81 of 2016 and its executive regulations, the Egyptian Occupational Code of Conduct 2019-2023, the National Anti-Corruption Strategy 2018-2022, the National Strategy for the Empowerment of Egyptian Women 2017.

 

 What has the network done since its inception?

 Since its inception, it has succeeded in cooperating with many African countries and provided many professional training programs in Cairo, and the training system has turned to the default system due to the spread of the Corona epidemic. Tanmia has also carried out many other activities to support the marketing of the network and strengthen its influence at the continental level, such as coordination to sign A protocol of cooperation with the Egyptian Agency for Partnership for Development (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) to organize a series of joint webinars targeting a number of participants from various African countries and to organize a number of training courses proposed by the two sides on topics related to governance and sustainable development, and to achieve the goals of Egypt Vision 2030 as well as the goals of the development agenda Africa 2063, in addition to working on a tripartite cooperation proposal with one of the national or international bodies to transfer Egyptian expertise through organizing programs for preparing the professional trainer (TOT), financing conferences, or introducing the best Egyptian practices in many areas of common interest.
