Today, Wednesday, Somali Prisons Service forces thwarted a car bomb attack by Al-Shabaab militia linked to Al-Qaeda on the KM7 base, south of the capital, Mogadishu.
The spokesman for the Somali Prisons Authority forces, Colonel Abdul Ghani Muhammad Khalaf, said in a statement reported by the Somali News Agency, that the explosion caused civilian casualties, adding that the terrorists tried to enter and detonate the Prison Authority forces center, but the forces thwarted their attempt.
