Dr. Mohamed Hany Ghoneim, Governor of Beni Suef, directed the continuation of efforts to control markets, and confront all forms of commercial fraud or price manipulation and attempts to monopolize basic commodities, directing to intensify ration campaigns, with the aim of ensuring the availability of goods of all kinds in sufficient quantities and at reasonable prices to the public, provided that these campaigns include Bakeries, butane warehouses and fuel stations, and it includes all concerned parties to take the necessary legal measures and deterrent measures in accordance with the law.
This came during his discussion of a report presented by Engineer Wasfi Abdullah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade, regarding the results of the surprise inspection campaign carried out by the Directorate in the center and city of Al-Wasiti in cooperation with the Supply Investigations, within the framework of the governorate plan that is implemented in cooperation and coordination with the concerned and relevant authorities to achieve discipline in Markets and facing fraud and monopoly, in order to preserve the health and safety of citizens.
The campaign resulted in the seizure of 20 thousand liters of petrol, as the driver of one of the cars collected it, in preparation for selling it on the black market for the purpose of illegally and in violation of the law, in addition to seizing 12 thousand packs of imported smuggled and unknown sources of cigarettes. Concerned investigation to take legal action in this regard.
