Lebanon requires 14 days for those coming from India and Brazil to reside in another country before entering Beirut

Today, the Lebanese authorities issued a decision to ban travelers from India and Brazil from entering Lebanon from next May 3, provided that their entry is restricted based on the mechanism of residency in another country for a period of no less than 14 days before coming to Lebanon.

The decision of the Lebanese authorities came in light of the recommendation made yesterday, Wednesday, by the Committee for Follow-up of Preventive Measures and Procedures for Coronavirus, affiliated to the Prime Minister, in light of the epidemic outbreak of the virus in India and Brazil and the emergence of new epidemic strains of it in the two countries.

The Lebanese Civil Aviation Directorate circulated to all airlines and ground services companies operating at Rafik Hariri International Airport in Beirut to stop transporting passengers from India and Brazil, and to adhere to the content of the decision and apply it to passengers who arrive as of next May 3.
